Filiala Asociației Se Poate

Between 7–15 January 2026, Filiala Asociației Se Poate hosted the Youth Workers Mobility within the Erasmus+ project “Empowering Rural Communities: Youth-Led Spaces for Transformation”, bringing together youth workers from Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria in Roșiori de Vede, Troianul (Teleorman County), and Bucharest

This international mobility focused on strengthening the role of youth spaces in rural areas as drivers of empowerment, participation, and community development.

About the Mobility

The mobility was part of a small-scale Erasmus+ partnership (KA210-YOU) and aimed to equip youth workers with practical skills, tools, and methodologies for managing and developing youth spaces in rural contexts.

Activities took place mainly in Filiala Se Poate’s Youth Space in Troianul, with field visits and community exploration in Roșiori de Vede, followed by a final learning and reflection phase in Bucharest.

Objectives of the Mobility

The main objectives of the Youth Workers Mobility were to:

  • Build youth workers’ capacity to manage, sustain, and innovate within youth spaces

  • Explore how youth-led spaces can support empowerment and local development

  • Exchange best practices between rural youth organizations

  • Strengthen international cooperation between NGOs working with young people in rural areas

Learning by Doing: What We Worked On

Throughout the training days, participants took part in non-formal education sessions, hands-on workshops, and peer learning activities, covering topics such as:

  • Understanding the local cultural and socio-economic context

  • Youth spaces as social innovation hubs

  • Operational management, sustainability, and funding

  • Designing empowering activities for young people

  • Leadership, partnership building, and networking

  • Community mapping and field visits to local initiatives

Participants also designed and implemented practical workshops, testing methods directly in an international learning environment and receiving feedback from peers.

Intercultural Learning & Community Connection

A key moment of the mobility was the Intercultural Night, where participants shared traditions, food, games, and stories from their countries, strengthening intercultural understanding and group cohesion.

The programme also included cultural visits and meetings with local community actors, helping participants better understand the realities and challenges faced by young people in small towns and rural areas.

Impact and Follow-Up

By the end of the mobility:

  • Participants enhanced their youth work and facilitation competences

  • Youth workers gained concrete tools for developing and sustaining youth spaces

  • International partnerships were strengthened, creating a basis for future cooperation

  • All participants received a Youthpass Certificate, recognising the learning outcomes of the mobility

The Youth Workers Mobility represents an important step in Filiala Se Poate’s ongoing work to support rural youth, promote active citizenship, and strengthen youth-led spaces in Teleorman County and beyond.
