Between 12 and 15 January 2025, the historic city of Częstochowa, Poland became the meeting point for visionaries, community leaders, and innovators as it hosted the Future Vision Festival, the second meeting under the “Euroscepticism to Euro-engagement” project. The festival brought together partners and participants from across Europe to explore the future of rural development, social inclusion, and technological innovation. Over four days, participants engaged in dialogue, creative activities, and collaborative planning aimed at shaping a more inclusive and innovative future for Europe.

The first day was dedicated to arrivals and welcoming participants to Hotel Sekwana, the meeting venue. In the evening, everyone gathered for a welcoming dinner, which set the tone for the days ahead. This opening event created a warm and collaborative atmosphere that encouraged networking and relationship-building among attendees.

Day two was focused on visionary thinking and scenario planning. The day began with a Future Scenario Workshop, where participants worked together to develop innovative solutions to challenges faced by rural areas. This was followed by a World Café Session, which provided a space for brainstorming and conducting a SWOT analysis of rural communities, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The afternoon featured Visionary Talks, covering key themes such as sustainable rural development, strategies for social inclusion, and embracing technological advancements to support rural growth. The day concluded with a lively Intercultural Evening, allowing participants to celebrate cultural diversity and deepen their connections.

Creativity and collaboration took center stage on day three. The morning was dedicated to Euro Art Expressions, where participants interpreted European identity and citizenship through art, presenting their creations in an outdoor exhibition and workshop. At midday, the Future Vision Fair brought together NGOs, businesses, and institutions to showcase best practices and innovative projects for rural development. In the afternoon, participants gathered for the Project Follow-Up Session, reflecting on activities, designing action plans for long-term collaboration, and exploring funding opportunities and partnerships. The evening was left free for participants to relax and explore the city of Częstochowa.

The festival concluded on day four with a farewell breakfast, offering participants the opportunity to exchange final insights and discuss next steps. The closing moments captured the collaborative spirit of the event and reinforced the commitment to building lasting partnerships that will continue to impact rural communities across Europe.

Overall, the Future Vision Festival successfully fostered cooperation, encouraged forward-looking dialogue, and strengthened ties with rural communities in the EU. Through interactive workshops, cultural exchange, and artistic expression, participants contributed to building a more integrated, innovative, and resilient European future.
